These are a few spy photos of Ford India`s future small auto codenamed B402, scheduled to be unveiled in 2010. Nothing about the price, engine or its transmission, it鈥檚 all in the dark. It appears like a smaller Fusion MPV clone. The vehicle will either be using the existing Ikon or the Fiesta platforms, which are now sold in India.
This auto will be the entry-level car from Ford in India and the styling is indicating that it may very well be exported overseas too. Ford announced previously that it may consider making this hatchback in low-cost hubs just like Brazil and India.
About US 500 million dollars will be invested on the Chennai existing plant, to raise its installed capacity right from the present 100,000 models to 250,000 by 2010. The small auto program alongside with the improved engine is part of the expansion plan.
