If you haven`t been punked in this first April day you have to know - BMW tricked everyone. In some official press release, this German manufacturer announced the new system called Canine Repellent Alloy Protection, a system developed to help stopping dogs fouling against the BMW alloy wheels.
The C.R.A.P. (Canine Repellent Alloy Protection system) reveals from the start the purpose of this new technology, an absolute crap. BMW says the 鈥瀋rap鈥� system administrates immediately an electric shock, keeping the animal away.
The German carmaker showed today that it has a very good sense of humor indeed. Many journalists took this as a truthful, real press release and received this great joke for this April鈥檚 Fools day. Really good one BMW!
Head of Automotive Security FOR BMW AG, Dr Hans Zoff said "Research shows that most BMW customers like to keep their cars clean and dog fouling is a constant irritant. Not only does the Canine Repellent Alloy Protection system support this aim, but it does so using energy created through the EfficientDynamics programme. Beauty through engineering perfection 鈥� our philosophy in a wheel nut".
