It was caught on Munich’s streets, in camouflage that still reveals clearly the shape and features of the future model. Codenamed “RR4,” this is the next Bentley competitor from Rolls-Royce, the newest salvo by BMW on the luxury market.
The price that was expected, when debuted, will be around $250,000 to $280,000, placing it below the $345,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom unit.
Rumor has it that the brand new RR4 will have the base on the upcoming generation BMW 7 Series platform and it feature a twin-turbo V8 that’s derived from the one BMW planned for the future X6.
In profile, the RR4 model seems less brick-like that Phantom, bearing a resemblance to those softer lines of the Continental Flying Spur by Bentley against which it will now be direct competition.
