The brand new Opel Insignia was not scheduled to make the public debut until July`s this year London Motor Show but pictures of the all-new sedan have been leaked on the network ahead of the auto`s schedules unveiling. Opel released two teaser shots of the new Insignia model but these photos give us the first real look at this sedan.
Up front, the Insignia unit— which will be replacing the Vectra — will sport a brand new front fascia which has a revised grille and some sleeker headlights. All-new fog lights plus air inlets also seems to be part of the wrap.
Out back, Insignia will receive some similar updates, including the taillights true to the previous teaser image Opel.
The new interior of Insignia is quite handsome, influenced by Malibu's twin-cockpit style from Chevrolet.
Underhood, Insignia offers a range of diesel and gasoline power plants. Gas engines ranging in displacement from 1.6L up to 2.8L, with range-topper of 2.8L V6 at 250 horsepower. Opel will offer also different variants of its 1.9L diesel model, ranging in power of 120 horsepower up to 150. There is word also that a 1.9L diesel having 180 horsepower and 2.9L V6 diesel also could join the lineup.
The Opel Insignia - a good indication of what the upcoming-generation Saturn Aura will look, which is slated to reach our shores around the decade’s turn.
