The first G50 road-registered car by Ginetta has taken now to the streets of Garforth near Leeds, that鈥檚 ahead of London to Silverstone Supercar Tour.
50 from the 21st Century鈥檚 greatest Sportscars will leave Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, London on tomorrow morning at 10.00am (18th April) coming at Silverstone at about lunch time to do the lap on the GP circuit. A Ginetta G50 model will be there with likes of Bugatti, Jaguar, Maserati and Ferrari.
鈥淭he prototype road car has been road registered to put miles on the engine and components鈥� affirmed Richard Dean. 鈥淚t鈥檚 currently very much in race car trim in terms of its interior and fit, but it鈥檒l never have things like hand stitched leather. It鈥檚 very much a performance car that you can drive to a track, blast it 鈥榬ound and drive home again鈥�.
鈥淚t will be much closer to a race car than anything on the road at the moment鈥�.
A flagship V8 limited edition, 520 bhp Zytek-powered unit will be released, aim to be the fastest production auto on the road. Its target cost will remain below 拢100,000.
Type approval for the vehicle is being sought after having a view of building 300 autos mixed with the V6 and V8 units.
