Subaru revealed full details today about the Impreza World Rally Car 2008. It will run with a flat four-cylinder engine having a top power of 300bhp @ 5500rpm plus a peak torque of 650Nm @ 3000rpm. This engine will be mated to some six-speed electro-hydraulic transmission.
The Impreza WRC features also front and rear MacPherson strut suspensions, AP Racing 310mm ventilated discs, Bos fully adjustable shock absorbers and six-pot calipers front and rear. For the asphalt use, front brakes now are 378mm ventilated discs having six-pot calipers.
With the weight of just 1230kgs, the auto includes a LCD color monitor having eight selectable data screens and Kenwood radio equipment. This sits on 15" diameter for the gravel, 18鈥� for tarmac wheels plus Pirelli tires.
