Rolls Royce unveiled last month the first sketches of the RR4 2010, and today Car and Driver made the announcement that the upcoming baby Phantom will run with a modified variant of the twin-turbo V8 from the BMW X6. Some diesel option will join this RR4 lineup for the future.
The RR4 2010 will be priced at about $225,000 and Rolls Royce expect to be selling over a 1,000 models a year.
The RR4 by Rolls-Royce will share the platform with the future generation BMW 7-Series 2009. Even though this platform will help in cutting some of the pounds, the RR4 unit is still expected to weigh over 5,000 pounds.
The upcoming luxury sedan will be made at Goodwood, England factory and sales will start in the later part of 2009 or the early 2010.
