Peugeot will reveal the 608 - 607 replacement - at the Paris Auto Show this autumn. Design seems inspired by the ultimate 908 RC and 308 RC Z Concepts. So, it will be more aggressive and sportier.
The 608 unit will share the same platform as the newest Citroen C5. The engines will be shared now with the C5 model, too, and Peugeot's keen to make sure that its latest model puts the emphasis on the fuel efficiency.
The auto will be debuted with a choice of high-tech 2.0 and 2.2-liter four-cylinder HDi diesels, while the flagship versions will be available with a 2.7-liter V6 oil-burner. These engines will be mated by either the six-speed manual or the automatic transmissions, both of which will send power up to the front wheels.
The sales will start in 2009.
