Volkswagen will reveal the next generation Golf at the Paris Motor Show this autumn. Here`s a few renderings of the whole Golf family.
This six cylinder engine will be now discontinued, reason being: the consumption. VW will go for some less cylinder and turbocharging.
Engine area: the 1.4, 80 hp will be now replaced in the summer of the 2009 by the 1.2 TSI, 86-horsepower; 1.6, 102 hp will be replaced by 1.2 TSI, 105-hp; 1.4 TSI, 160 hp, with the Turbo and compressor; the 2.0 TSI, 200 hp, the popular GTI engine. Diesel: 2.0 TDI CR (Common Rail), 110 hp; the 1.6 TDI, CR, 90 hp; the 2.0 TDI CR, 140 hp.
The Golf Plus variant will be unveiled in 2009 March, while the Cabrio variant will be coming in 2010.
