The Transsyberia Rally is really the toughest marathon rally for the near-standard offroad cars taking place from the Red Square placed in Moscow, Russia to the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar. These 7,000 km of the rally take all the participants via the subartic forests, up to Altai Mountains and Gobi Desert.
鈥淢y father gave me several tips of course. These first-hand suggestions can only help us. Navigation will be all decisive. This is where you lose or gain time. Aside from this we hope to have as clean a rally as possible without any serious mishaps. We know it鈥檚 a long way to Ulaanbaatar and we know there is quite some pressure on us to bring home another Millen win. Eddie Keng from the Team Porsche China has now swapped sides. After piloting last year a Cayenne he now navigates Ding Luo. 鈥淭he 2008 line-up is extremely strong. I鈥檓 certain there鈥檒l be a tough fight for victory,鈥� was his prognosis that's leading up to the very first special stage. 鈥淭hose who were up the front in 2007 want to be back up there again this year. And those who didn鈥檛 do so well last year want to improve. All participants have become more professional and have much more experience than last year.鈥�
