Volt isn`t even made yet and it`s in danger already. As the price of gas is getting higher people are looking now for alternative power. And it really seems that at the moment these electrical ones are the best.
Chrysler`s considering some electric auto that might be revealed in the next 3 to 5 years. The firm debuted a special department last fall in the company called ENVI — it's pronounced like the "envy" — to bring the electric-drive cars plus related advanced-propulsion high technologies on market.
"ENVI is currently developing electric vehicles for the three Chrysler brands and is planning on product within three to five years," a Chrysler spokesman, Nick Cappa, told the Free Press.
Chrysler will start around September to offer 2 hybrid models: the Chrysler Aspen and the Dodge Durango — both SUV units and both costing below the similar GM units.
