Honda Civic Hybrid

The Honda Civic Hybrid sedan made its debut in 2003. The Hybrid Civic sedan is powered by a 1.3 Liter gas engine and 10 Kilowatt electric engine. The Hybrid sedan is a two door vehicle that can seat 5 people inside it. The car has been provided with a continuous variable transmission system and the one advantage it has over other vehicles is that its gas engine switches off automatically at traffic signals. The vehicle has been provided with seats made of cloth and has a CD player located in its dashboard. It has windows that can be opened or closed with the touch of a button. The gauges on the dashboard are easy to read.

In 2006 the second generation sedan made its debut. The car was now powered by a 1.3 liter iVTEC engine having four cylinder engine and a 20-hp electric motor. The new engine combination is more powerful and lighter. This increase in power has meant that when the engine is switched off while waiting for someone or stopped at a traffic signal the air-conditioning and other equipment inside the car can still work as their power is derived from the electric motor. The batteries that supply power to the electric engine are powerful, but they occupy more space. These batteries are stored behind the back seat and as a result the seat cannot be folded. This has meant that the back seat can just seat 2 passengers. The Hybrid Civic Sedan has a system that tells the driver how much electric power he is using to drive the car and how much power is left in the battery.
