Hyundai Veracruz

The Hyundai Veracruz was first introduced in October 2006, but its manufacture for the world market began in 2007. It is labeled as a luxury utility vehicle. It's a mid-size vehicle that was built on the extended Santa Fe body. The Veracruz is powered by a 3.8 Liter V6 engine and has a gear system with six automatic gears manufactured by Aisin. Though based on the Santa Fe, the new Veracruz is longer and thicker. The new model can seat seven passengers. The Veracruz is available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive.

The Hyundai Veracruz comes in three versions -the entry level version comes with 17 inch tires, seating for seven passengers, navigation system, keyless entry and stereo system that can play CDs or MP3s. The SE version gets 18 inch tires, headlights that switch on automatically, a driver's seat that can be adjusted automatically and mirrors that dim the light of oncoming traffic. The Limited version is equipped with leather seats, CD based stereo system and sensors in the back to help the driver park the vehicle. You can get an expensive stereo system with surround sound and a DVD system for those seated in the back as options on the SE and Limited versions.

The Hyundai Veracruz has nice seats in the second row with dedicated air conditioning, but the third row of seats have less space unless the second row of passengers slide their seats forward. All versions of the Veracruz have a system to monitor traction and stability, airbags on the side for the front seat passengers and a system to monitor pressure in all four tires.
