The first generation Lincoln Mark LT made its debut in 2006 as a luxury pickup truck. The Mark LT was built to compete with the Ford F-150 Super Crew. The Mark LT could seat up to five passengers, with two sitting in the front on captain's chairs and three in the back on a bench seat. A 5.4-Liter V8 engine with 300 horsepower and a four speed automatic transmission powered the Mark LT. The Mark LT was available with rear or four-wheel drive. It came equipped with airbags for driver and passenger, curtain airbags, 18-inch tires and anti-lock disc brakes. Options included power pedals, sunroof, DVD system in the back, a system that assists the driver while parking and skid plates. In 2007, a model with an extended wheelbase joined the Lincoln lineup. The new vehicle got a 6.5-foot bed and a navigation system was added as an option.
In 2008, the Lincoln Mark LT will come in two models. One model will be available with a wheel-base length of 138.5 inches and a cargo bed length of 5.5 feet, the other model has a 150.5-inch wheel-base and a bed length of 6.5 feet. Both models have a 5.4-Liter V8 engine with 300 horsepower and a four speed automatic transmission. Both models are available with two or four-wheel drive and are equipped with 18-inch tires, leather seats that are powered and heated with memory for the driver's seat. A music system with 330 watts and satellite radio, CD player located in the dashboard and controls for the music system located on the steering wheel are also available.
