The first generation Nissan Altima Hybrid made its debut in 2007. The Hybrid derives its power from a combination of two engines, there's a 2.5 Liter engine having four cylinders and that is rated at 158 horsepower and an electric motor that is rated at 40 horsepower. Both the gas engine and the electric motor have the ability to work together or can work independently depending on the traffic and road conditions. This Nissan Altima Hybrid package also comes with Bluetooth connectivity, a HomeLink system, a rearview mirror that dims the lights of the traffic and a music system which is equipped with a CD/MP3 player that can store 6 CDs which has 9 speakers and satellite radio, speakers are manufactured by Bose. The Technology Package gets all the above equipment plus a navigation system and a camera that is placed in the back that helps the driver park the vehicle.
