The 2007 Ford F-250 Super Duty truck is available in five models, the F-250/350 XL ($25,585), XLT ($30,115), and Lariat ($35,385), the King Ranch Package ($40,315), and the Harley-Davidson ($50,780.) Available in a regular, super, and crew cab, the Super Duty trucks seat from three to six.
Engine options open with the 5.4-liter, 24-valve V8 generating 300 horsepower. The 6.8 liter, 30-valve V10 produces 362 horsepower and the 6-liter, 32-valve, diesel V8 puts out 325 horsepower. All are available as either a six speed manual or a five-speed automatic. Towing and payload capacities vary widely across the possible combinations of body, engine, and transmission, but without question the Super Duty is the workhorse of the Ford trucks.
All models of the 2005 Ford Super Duty are outfitted with comprehensive airbag protection fot the driver and passenger including a switch on the shotgun side to disengage the airbag (not available on the crew cabs.) In addition to towing, electrical hook-up, and heavy spring packages, off-road, camper, and snow plow hitch gear is also available. The XL comes standard with an AM/FM/clock combo with all other models adding a single CD and boosting the speaker array from two to four. (The premium audio package includes a changer in the dash capable of handling six discs.)
