The MSRP on the 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser ranges from $15,200 to $24,560. The basic Cruiser can be outfitted with the standard 2.4 liter, 4-cylinder 16-valve engine that produces 150 horsepower. The turbo version of the same engine in the Limited generates 180 horsepower. (In the GT GT model the standard engine offers an exception 230 horsepower from a 4-cylinder turbo unit.)
The base Cruiser is also available as a convertible starting from $20,605 and climbing to $29,825 for the GT edition. The convertible line starts with the 2.4 liter, 16-valve engine and jumps to the 180 horsepower model in the Touring Edition and features the 230 horsepower engine in the GT.
All the Cruisers are available with manual or standard transmissions. Chrysler has outfitted the Cruiser line with a comprehensive airbag package covering occupants in the front with bags on the side present as a standard element on the Cruiser Limited and GT. Available brakes include discs on the front wheels and drums on the back with anti-locking technology. All-wheel disc performance brakes with anti-locking capability and enhanced traction control at lower speeds can be added to both the Cruiser Limited and Convertible Touring models but are a standard element of the GT and GT Convertible.
All 2007 Chryslter PT Cruiser models have been fitted with a six-speaker coombo audio unit that includes a jack for auxiliary input. The audio upgrade is a Boston Acoustics unit, which can be added to the Touring, Limited, and GT models. (Sirius Satellite Radio is also an option.)
